The district will perform these upgrades with no direct impact to the district’s taxpayers.

We have created a page on the district website that will serve as a one-stop location for information and updates. The page will be updated as any new information becomes available.
As alway, our superintendent Tim Calice is available for question and concerns. The best way to reach him is via email. [email protected]

Census 2020
The COVID-19 crisis is having a major impact on our daily lives, communities, and the 2020 Census field operations. Although the Census may not seem important at this time, responses to the Census determine political representation and how resources will be distributed to communities for the next 10 years.
Each person counted in the Census brings approximately $2,000 each year to our communities for education, healthcare, emergency services, roads and bridges, and community supports like nutrition, housing, heating, and employment. Census data also drives business decisions, such as where to invest in cellular and broadband infrastructure .

Photo of stadium lights GCS Joining in National Tribute to Seniors
Greene Central School will be joining the National Federation of  State High Schools in a tribute to seniors. They have asked schools all over the country to turn on their field lights at 8:20 (20:20 military time) for 20 min. and 20 sec. as a tribute to the class of 2020. This is in support of all the opportunities they have missed this year. We will turn on our stadium lights each weeknight at 8:20 in support of the GCS class of 2020. This is just one more inexpensive way the district can show our support for our graduating class.
Important Middle School Updates
There are two important updates that the Middle School would like to share with families:
The homework hotline can now be found on the Greene Middle School Webpage.  The homework hotline links are setup by grade level and can be found on the right hand column of the Greene Middle School page.
Additionally, this link https://www.loom.com/share/5655c2fcfdba4b6e9b766362f1b51dd2 will take you to a helpful video that shows you how to find and access the new homework hotline!
Important update on 10-week courses at Greene Middle School:
Students will remain in the same 10 week classes for the 4th quarter that they were in prior to the school closure (not rotating to a new class).  This decision was made to keep things as consistent as possible for students and families during these challenging times.

Here in Greene three buildings use this program to raise funds. For example, the middle school uses the money for student breakfasts during the state ELA and math assessments
