Greene CSD is pleased to announce that the Greene CSD community passed the 2023-2024 school budget with a 72% approval rating 199 casting votes in favor and 76 opposed.
Voters approved proposition 2: Transportation & Maintenance Vehicle purchase with a 77% approval rating casting 213 votes in favor and 63 opposed.
Voters approved proposition 3: Moore Memorial Library with a 77% approval rating casting 213 votes in favor and 62 opposed.
On behalf of the Board of Education, administrators, staff, and students, we would like to thank everyone that took the time to vote today. We look forward to continuing our vision to be a model school in providing a flexible and nurturing environment that leverages innovation, collaboration, and a variety of opportunities in all areas so as to support student growth and learning.
This budget will provide our students those opportunities and we appreciate the support of our community and will work hard to maintain it.
Board of Education Results
There were four candidates for two seats on the Board of Education up for election this year, with the seats going to Markham and Riggs as the top vote getters. Here are the vote totals:
•Emily Riggs - 155
•Doug Markham - 146
•Maria McKown - 100
•Samantha Howe - 100
The three-year terms that they were elected to on will begin on July 1 this year and go through June 30, 2026.
