We will be having many new and very exciting learning experiences this year. Third graders grow into good writers who are able to communicate through their written language. The students will collect details and respond to various opinion, persuasive, narrative and descriptive writing prompts. We explore grammar, parts of speech and acquire many curriculum based vocabulary words.  We are excited to use our new reading series, Journeys.  

 

We provide many learning opportunities for obtaining skills in multiplication, division, fractions, geometry, addition and subtraction.  A good year for learning and practicing skills.

 

We explore communities, both local and on a global level, citizenship and government within our Social Studies Units.  In Science, we learn about plants, animals, habitats, the engineering process and weather.
