Fifth grade is a wonderful time of growth and development, both academically and personally/socially. For the 2023-2024 school year, I will be providing Social Studies instruction for all 5th grade students. A variety of teaching strategies will be used, including whole group and small group instruction through a new SS series, Google Classroom, and the use of literature that aligns with the curriculum. Additionally, careful planning with the Reading/ELA, Math, and Science teachers will ensure a team approach to meet student needs with a content-rich and unique learning experience. Students will have the opportunity to gain the necessary skills for success in middle school, as they continue the transition toward greater independence.
