Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed in school, no matter where they live or what challenges their family may face.
The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act provides rights and protections for students and families who are experiencing temporary or unstable housing. This may include families living in a shelter, hotel, campground, car, or other temporary situation, as well as families who are temporarily staying with relatives or friends because they do not have a permanent home.
Greene Central School is committed to making sure students experiencing housing instability have equal access to education, school programs, transportation, and other supports they need to be successful.
