Graduation Requirements
Graduation Requirements
Under the traditional pathway to graduation, students need to earn a total of 22 credits and pass 5 Regents exams (English, Math, Science, and 2 Social Studies exams).
While NYS is shifting these requirements, they remain the most popular way our students earn a high school diploma. To earn these credits, students must complete:
English: 4 credits
Math: 3 credits
Social Studies: 4 credits
Science: 3 credits
World Language: 1 credit
Fine Arts: 1 credit
Electives: 3.5 credits
Physical Education: ½ credit each year
Health: ½ credit
Students who are not successful in completing courses during a particular year may be recommended to attend summer school through DCMO BOCES.
