Kayli Willes Takes 2nd Place in Chemistry Week Poetry Contest
GCS junior Kayli Willes earned second place in local judging for the 2019 American Chemical Society 2019 National Chemistry Week Poetry Contest. Students submitted original, illustrated poems with this year’s theme, “Marvelous Metals.” Out of 82 entries in the ACS Binghamton section, Kayli's submission earned a second place finish in the 9-12 Grade competition. Binghamton University faculty served as judges for the event. Kayli is a student in Mrs. Cutting's chemistry class.
