Karen Torres is a Long Island resident whose father was killed by a distracted driver while working for the NYS Dept. of Transportation. Karen travels the state and talks to high school students about her father's senseless death and the traumatic impact it had on her family. She now works for the Governor's Traffic Safety Council in hoping to avoid this tragedy for others by educating young people on the dangers of distracted driving.
