Pink For The Primary! Staff Wears Pink To Recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Greene Primary School staff wore pink Friday, Oct. 25, in recognition and bring awareness to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, other than skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in American women, with 1 in 8 women being diagnosed with the disease in their lifetime. That represents 15.2% of the total cases of cancer in the U.S. Thankfully, there are more than 3.5 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. and, with advances in medicine and knowledge, that number continues to improve. BTW: More than 2,500 cases of breast cancer were expected to be diagnosed in men in 2019. (Staff Photo Attached).
