Senior Mikaela Sepulveda-Kiefer represented Greene High School Dec. 5-8 at the annual Winter Conference of the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA). Closing the conference were three prestigious all-state concerts, held at the acclaimed Eastman Theatre in Rochester.
Mikaela was selected for and participated in the Mixed Chorus. She studies voice privately with Margaret Buhl and has been involved in the school choruses, Footlights Drama Club, All County Choruses, Area All State festivals, NYSSMA solo festivals and community theater groups throughout middle and high school.
The music department is very proud of Mikaela and her accomplishments. The hard work, discipline and dedication demanded by the study of music is evident in Mikaela and she was an excellent representative of our music program and high school.
Congratulations to both Mikaela and her supportive family, as they have guided her along this journey.
NYSSMA is the largest state affiliate of the National Association for Music Education. NYSSMA's mission is to advance music education across NYS for its membership and students in member school programs.
