As we enter our 2nd full week of school
closure we want to remind you of a few important supports we have in place. The district will
continue to provide meal service to the GCS community. If you are not receiving
meals for your students and would like to, please call any of the school main
offices at 656-4161 to request these meals. We will continue our pick up
services at the MS/HS campus from 11:00am-12:30pm and our delivery service as
well. We are very proud that we are able to provide this to our students and
families. We also are working hard to keep our staff healthy and safe. As such
we are working on decreasing the number of days each week we will be
distributing meals by providing multiple days’ worth of meals each time. If at any
time you decide you would like to start receiving meals please call in. We are
encouraging all families to take advantage of this service. We will keep you
updated on any of the changes we implement.Finally, our instructional staff has been working hard
to provide students with educational resources. Please make sure that students
are using these resources daily. We encourage students in grades K-5 to do a
minimum of 1 hr. of school work daily. We also encourage students in grades
6-12 to do a minimum of 2 hrs. of school work daily. If you have questions or
need resources please do not hesitate to email any of our teachers as they are
here to help.
