Superintendent Letter Addressing End of School Year Date
Dear Greene CSD Family & Students:

I hope this letter finds you and your family safe, healthy and making the most out of our current situation. As we rapidly approach the month of June, I believe communicating the end of year timeline is critical for everyone’s planning purposes. New York State public schools are required to meet a 180-day student attendance requirement. Due to individual school calendars, school districts across the state will meet the 180 requirements at different dates. The Greene Central School District will follow the dates below as we close out the 2019-2020 school year.

=         June 9th15th will be the last week of school, which will include review work, support from teachers on assigned work and teacher contact. All students are expected to participate in instruction through Monday, June 15th.

=         Monday, June 15th – Last day for students and teachers.

There will be more information forthcoming with regards to dropping off devices, books, etc…and picking up any personal belongings. The dates and timelines for this will be communicated in the near future.

The Greene CSD has appreciated all the patience, support, resilience and understanding the school community has shown during these challenging times. The phrase, “we are all in this together,” is so true and we thank the school community for embracing this mindset and showing #TrojanPRIDE throughout the situation.

We look forward to a successful end of the year process and if you have any questions please let us know.

Thank you,
Timothy M. Calice
Proud Superintendent of the Greene CSD
