Greene High School Announces Top 3 Seniors of the Class of 2022
Greene Central High School proudly announces its Valedictorian, Salutatorian and Superintendent’s Award recipients for the graduating Class of 2022.  It is with immense pleasure that the high school recognizes Sarah Ann Sexton as its Valedictorian, Carsyn Riley Puglisi as its Salutatorian and Cooper James Klumpp as its Superintendent’s Award recipient for the 2022 senior class.
  
 Sarah Ann Sexton, daughter of Kristine and Dennis Sexton, is the Valedictorian of the Class of 2022. Sarah has been involved in many activities throughout high school.  She currently serves as the Student Council Treasurer and Class of 2022 Secretary.   She has been a member of the field hockey and track and field teams.  Also, she has participated in Interact Club, Yearbook Club, National Honor Society, band, and Footlights.  Outside of school, she is a Girl Scout and dances competitively.  In the fall, Sarah plans to attend Colgate University to study biochemistry.
 
  
Carsyn Riley Puglisi, daughter of Amy and Dan Puglisi, is the Salutatorian of the Class of 2022. Carsyn has appreciated her time at Greene Central High School. She has enjoyed playing sports in and out of school. Carsyn has participated in soccer, basketball, track and field, and indoor soccer. She has also enjoyed helping her friends whenever she can. Carsyn plans to major in Liberal Arts at SUNY Broome this fall. 
  
 
Cooper James Klumpp, son of Tracey Fish and Mark Klumpp, is the Superintendent’s Award recipient for the Class of 2022. Cooper has been very involved in many activities throughout his time at GCS.  He currently serves as President of the Student Council and the Treasurer of the senior class.  Cooper has also participated in many sports throughout high school, including soccer, swimming, golf, and tennis.  Cooper has also participated in concert band, marching band, jazz band, chorus and select chorus each year.  He has been in 11 Footlights productions and loves to spend time performing.  Cooper plans to attend Boston College in the fall to study psychology.
 
Congratulations to Sarah, Carsyn and Cooper.  We salute your achievements.
Graduation ceremonies will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the high school gymnasium.
