The Greene Trobotics Club Participated in the RoboRave New York
Photo of robotics club students The Greene Trobotics Club sent eight students on five teams to RoboRave New York in Oxford where 53 teams competed in the competition.   All students had some very valuable learning experiences between practice on Friday evening and the competition on Saturday.  Not all of them happened in the competition arena. We had an opportunity to interact with students from France and a Colombian contingent that hailed from Toronto, Canada.

Students competed in the following events:

HS SumoBot - Victoria and Emily Milk

MS SumoBot - Ashton Pezzino & Alex Stewart

MS SumoBot- Aiden Roth & Aidan Marcin

MS Jousting - Lincoln Youngs

MS Line Follow - Anthony Zukowski

All GCS teams put on a good show with Lincoln and Ashton finishing as the #1 seed in their respective events. Victoria and Emily were #2, Aidan and Aiden were the #5 seed. All qualified for the championship in their event. At the end of the day Lincoln, Victoria, and Emily were champions, bringing home medals. Ashton finished third overall in the MS SumoBot. After the event, Trobotics kids even helped to clean up by breaking down tables and chairs, without being asked, while waiting for the bus.
