G.C.S. Board Election and Budget Vote – May 21

An election will be held on Tuesday, May 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for eligible voters to decide who should fill three vacancies on the G.C.S. School Board, in addition to voting on the school budget. 

Tammie McCauley, Jason Burghardt, and Seth Barrows currently hold the three seats.  Their terms will expire June 30, 2019.  Once filled, these three seats will follow the three-year term and will expire June 30, 2022.

Candidates who submitted petitions to run for these open seats are:

  • Andrew Bringuel, II
  • Michael Ketzak
  • John Fish
  • Jason Burghardt
  • Seth Barrows

A public hearing to review the 2019-2020 school budget will be held at 6:00 p.m. on the evening of May 13, 2019 in the auditorium.

VOTING QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MAY 21 BUDGET REFERENDUM

In order to vote, a person must fulfill all of the following requirements:

1. Be a citizen of the United States.

2. Be at least 18 years of age.                                                                                                

3. Be a resident within the District for a period of at least

    30 days preceding the meeting at which he/she offers to vote.
