G.C.S. Early Dismissal – October 16, 2020
Greene Central School District has scheduled the required annual test of the early dismissal/evacuation plan for Friday, October 16, 2020. Students will be released 15 minutes earlier than their normally scheduled time (at the G.C.S. facility). The students at BOCES programs off campus will be released earlier as well.
It is important to note that in the event of a real emergency, procedures may be carried out without advance notice. Children may be coming home to either empty homes or locked doors. Parents must make contingency plans with their children in the event of an emergency, especially if the children require supervision.
This is also a good time to ensure your information is up-to-date and accurate on your child’s records at school. It is especially important that your phone number be current in the office in case of an emergency.
Please make appropriate arrangements for the early arrival of your children as a result of this drill. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s principal, or you may call the Transportation Department at 656-4161, ext. 223.
