The changes in the Regents exams impacted the end of the year instructional calendar. Districts are required to meet the 180 day instructional requirements set forth by NYSED. In order to meet these requirements, the following adjustments were proposed to the BOE and, at their meeting held on May 12, 2021, the G.C.S. Board of Education revised the year-end academic calendar. The revised year-end dates for student attendance will be as follows:
- May 26 – ½ Day for Students UPK-12
- May 28 – No School
- May 31 – No School - Memorial Day Holiday
- June 9 – ½ Day for Students UPK-12
- June 14 – Full Day for All Students
- June 15 – Full Day for All Students
- June 16 – Half Day for All Students
- June 17 – Full Day for Students UPK-8th
- No High School Regular Classes – ELA Regents
- June 18 – Full Day for All Students
- June 21 – Full Day for All Students
- June 22 – Full Day for Students UPK-8th
- No High School Regular Classes – Living Environment Regents
- June 23 – Half Day for Students UPK-8th
- No High School Regular Classes – Algebra Regents
- June 24 - Staff Only – No Students except for Earth Science Regents
- June 25 - No Students – Staff Only
