Trojans league golfers bested six other area districts in tournament play earlier this month on October 6th, bringing home another W for the trophy case, along with bragging rights to 2022 MAC championship victory.
Trojans' Parker Flanagan and Lincoln Youngs, tying for 88 apiece, left the door open for Trent Drew, who shot a 94 on the day with Clayton Leonard following up with 97.
Anthony Thatcher rounded out the scoring with a 100. Austin Dehaan also joined his teammates but his 104 did not count in the final scoring.
Greene was also awarded Sportsmanship Award while Flanagan and Youngs made first team all-stars, with Drew and Leonard on the second team.
Coach Pete Flanagan was impressed with his team’s performance all season.
“ Very proud of the boys for working hard all season. It was a nice way to end the year, both winning the tournament and having the co-medalist as well,” he said. “These boys have come a long way from just a few years ago not winning a single match.”
