BOE Member Candidate Petitions

The annual Budget Vote and Board Member Election will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. In addition to the budget, qualified voters will decide who will fill the three (3) vacancies on the G.C.S. Board of Education.

The three seats are currently held by Christopher Austin, Kenneth Pickard, and Renee Rideout. The terms will begin on July 1, 2025, and will expire on June 30, 2028.

Petitions require a minimum of 25 qualified signatures, and must be submitted no later than Monday, April 21, 2025, by 5:00 p.m.

VOTING QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MAY 20 BUDGET & SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION:

To qualify as a voter within the Greene Central School District, a person must fulfill all the following requirements:
1. Be a citizen of the United States of America.
2. Be at least eighteen (18) years of age on the date of the vote.
3. Be a resident within the School District for a period of at least thirty (30) days next preceding the date of the scheduled vote. (Legal residence is determined by the fixed and permanent home of the voter. Property ownership alone does not equal residency.)

Please remember to vote on May 20, 2025, between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the auditorium lobby of the Middle/High School campus, 40 South Canal Street, Greene, New York.
