Meet Our Director of Special Programs!

Brian Breck has been an educator for 17 years, and was born and raised in Greene. He would like to take this opportunity to introduce himself to you!

"It is an absolute honor to introduce myself as the new Director of Special Programs here at Greene Central School. As someone who was born and raised in Greene and now proudly resides here with my own family, this opportunity is especially meaningful for me.
My journey in the realm of education began right here in Greene, as I spent my senior year volunteering in the primary school. This experience was the catalyst that drove me to pursue a career in education. Throughout my 17 years as an educator, I completed a master's degree in special education, served as an elementary teacher at Oxford Academy and Central Schools, took on roles as a coach and technology coordinator, and most recently, held the position of principal at Morris Central School. These diverse roles have guided my path forward and furnished me with a deep understanding of the educational needs of our students and community. They have also provided me with the opportunity to have my career come full circle as I join the team here at GCS.

Outside of work, I am an avid golfer, and love to spend time working on my game. You will also see me with my family at the youth sports offered to our community. Our boys love to play soccer, basketball and baseball and my wife and I have enjoyed coaching them over the years.

Having been a part of this tight-knit community for so many years, I have an appreciation for the values and aspirations that define us. I am committed to ensuring that our special education program at GCS continues to reflect these principles and provide the best possible educational experiences for all our students.

I am genuinely excited about the journey ahead as I collaborate with our incredible staff, students, and families to make our special education programs even more exceptional. Your support and involvement in this endeavor means the world to me, and I cannot wait to embark on this new chapter in my professional journey right here at home."
