It is time to prepare for our upcoming 2018-2019 Universal Prekindergarten Program that is held at Greene Primary School. We plan to hold both a morning and afternoon class. There is no cost to attend the program and we will continue to provide transporation for those that need it.
To be eligible for UPK, students must be four on or before December 1, 2018. Also, your child is required to be four years of age to ride a school bus. If your child is not fours years of age, you will need to transport them until they turn four. Students do not qualify for UPK if they are 5 on or before December 1, 2018, this would allow them to enter kindergarten.
Until New York State settles on a budget, we can't be certain funding will be in place for UPK. Therefore, we will continue to plan for the upcoming UPK, but nothing is guaranteed.
Openings for the UPK will be filled by a lottery of those who apply. Applications must be returned by March 19.
