The last two months of school are always busy for band members, so here is a
recap of our most recent events:
Our jazz band, with members from both middle and high school, competed in
the Sherburne Pageant of Bands this year, playing one of their best
performances in competition with three other Class A bands. On May 31st
they received great comments from the judges, and missed third place by only
two points!
Our marching band had two performances in one week, serving our community by
joining in the Memorial Day parade on May 28th, and representing
both our community and our school on June 2nd at the Sherburne
Pageant of Bands. Our marching band placed 3rd out of six bands,
coming in above a band at least twice their size! Hard work pays off!
Thank you to the support from our school district, from the parents, and to
all the students for their extra efforts. A special “Thank You!” goes out to
our Band Booster Club, who helped organize support for our program all year.
