Greene Central School District has scheduled its annual test of the early dismissal plan for Friday, October 19, 2018. Students will be released 15 minutes earlier than their normally scheduled time (at the G.C.S. facility). The students at BOCES programs at sites other than G.C.S. will be released earlier so that all students will leave the high school parking lot at approximately 2:15 PM. All student athletes must go home at dismissal.  Because this is an evacuation drill, there will be no holding area on campus. Individual team practices may be scheduled for after 3:30 p.m.  [ for more]

This past Saturday started early for more than 30 of our band students when they gathered to head out to the fifth annual Syracuse University Band Day.  High school bands across New York are invited to perform with the SU Marching Band – the "Pride of the Orange" – at halftime at this annual event.  SU's Band Day coincided with both Military Appreciation Day and the ceremony to retire Joe Morris' legendary No. 47 jersey.  It had been 2 years since Greene participated, and with many new members, it was a first time for most.  [ for more]
