G.C.S. Early Dismissal - October 19, 2018
Greene Central School District has scheduled its annual test of the early dismissal plan for Friday, October 19, 2018. Students will be released 15 minutes earlier than their normally scheduled time (at the G.C.S. facility). The students at BOCES programs at sites other than G.C.S. will be released earlier so that all students will leave the high school parking lot at approximately 2:15 PM. All student athletes must go home at dismissal.  Because this is an evacuation drill, there will be no holding area on campus. Individual team practices may be scheduled for after 3:30 p.m.

Greene Band Students Participate in Fifth Annual SU Band Day
This past Saturday started early for more than 30 of our band students when they gathered to head out to the fifth annual Syracuse University Band Day.  High school bands across New York are invited to perform with the SU Marching Band – the "Pride of the Orange" – at halftime at this annual event.  SU's Band Day coincided with both Military Appreciation Day and the ceremony to retire Joe Morris' legendary No. 47 jersey.  It had been 2 years since Greene participated, and with many new members, it was a first time for most.
Earn Cash for Our School Box Tops For Education to Support Our School

Did you know that every Boxtop equals a dime? That’s right! When you clip a Boxtop and send it in with your child, our school earns 10 cents.

Here in Greene three buildings use this program to raise funds. For example, the middle school uses the money for student breakfasts during the state ELA and math assessments

Greene's Way of Going Green!

Sex Offender Information Alert
The Greene Central School District recognizes that the safety of our children is a responsibility of the entire community. The school district occasionally receives notification from the Chenango County Sheriff's Department or other law enforcement agencies about convicted sex offenders who reside within our school district boundaries. Upon receipt of such notification, the district will notify staff members, place the information at each school/district office and post an information alert on the district homepage.
